Bengaluru is yet again facing severe waterlogging after heavy rainfall lashed India’s silicon city on Sunday night leading to a flood-like situation. Several roads, building basements and major transaction points are submerged causing massive traffic disruption in the city.

Several videos shared by upset users on social media show the plight of the city hit by torrential rains.

While authorities have advised residents not to leave their homes until it's an emergency, hundreds got stuck in traffic jams enroute offices on Monday morning. Heavy traffic jams at Marathahalli-Silk board junction were reported.

Bengaluru's Outer Ring Road, Whitefield, Varthur, Sarjapur Road and their adjoining areas received heavy showers last night.

In what could make situation worse, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rains in several districts of Karnataka over the next four days.

On August 30, the IT city had witnessed a similar situation. In a letter to Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai, Bengaluru-based Outer Ring Road Companies Association (ORRCA) wrote that due to incessant rainfall and subsequent flooding there was a loss of ₹225 lakh/
