Delhi Air Quality Index: Just like clockwork, India is once again ready to witness pollution levels soaring amid the festive season.

According to a bulletin issued by the Air Quality Early Warning System in Delhi, air quality in the capital city was already in the 'Very poor' category and the true festivities are yet to begin.

Meanwhile, air quality forecast agency SAFAR said stubble burning accounted for 6 per cent of the PM2.5 pollution in Delhi on Tuesday.

The bulletin noted that Delhi on November 5, could see the air quality dip to ‘severe’ in case of firecracker emissions on Diwali.

It's not all human error though, low wind speed has been making the dispersion of pollutants difficult so far, but strong winds are predicted on November 6.

An AQI from 301 to 400 is considered ‘very poor', and Delhiites have been choking through the 'very poor' category this week.
