After Amritpal Singh's video crossing a toll plaza reportedly in Punjab's Jalandhar came to light, state's IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill has said that the Brezza car, in which Amritpal Singh fled, has been recovered by the Police adding that Singh was helped by four people.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Gill further said, arms Act has been invoked against four people who helped the Khalistani separatist.
Revealing details of the investigation amid the manhunt, the official said that after fleeing, Singh visited the Gurudwara in Nangal Ambian village (in Jalandhar district) &amp; changed his clothes before fleeing again.
This came to be known in the questioning of the 4 people who have been nabbed.

The old clip which has now gone viral shows a man soaking a stale vegetable in a bucket which has foamy water. He then places the vegetable in a container to let it dry. Gradually, the vegetable is seen opening up as if it was freshly plucked.
The footage has left netizens shocked with many alleging the use of a chemical substance to make the vegetable look fresher.

The BJP is the world's most important foreign political party and it may also be the least understood according to an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal authored by Walter Russell Mead.
"India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is, from the standpoint of American national interests, the most important foreign political party in the world. It may also be the least understood," the WSJ piece read.
BJP, after successive victories in 2014, and 2019 is also headed for a repeat victory in 2024, the publication stated, adding that, India is emerging both as a leading economic power and, along with Japan, as the linchpin of American strategy in the Indo-Pacific.
"For the foreseeable future the BJP will be calling the shots in a country without whose help American efforts to balance rising Chinese power are likely to fall short," it added.
The author Mr Mead believes that BJP is poorly understood because it grows out of a political and cultural history unfamiliar to most non-Indians.
The BJP's electoral dominance reflects the success of a once obscure and marginal social movement of national renewal based on efforts by generations of social thinkers and activists to chart a distinctively 'Hindu path' to modernization, the Wall Street Journal piece stated.
"Like the Muslim Brotherhood, the BJP rejects many ideas and priorities of Western liberalism even as it embraces key features of modernity. Like the Chinese Communist Party, the BJP hopes to lead a nation with more than a billion people to become a global superpower. Like the Likud Party in Israel, the BJP combines a basically pro-market economic stance with populist rhetoric and traditionalist values, even as it channels the anger of those who've felt excluded and despised by a cosmopolitan, Western-focused cultural and political elite," it added.
American analysts, particularly those of a left-liberal persuasion, often look at Narendra Modi's India and ask why it isn't more like Denmark. Their concerns aren't wholly misplaced. Journalists who are critical of the ruling coalition can face harassment and worse. Religious minorities who fall afoul of the resurgent Hindu pride that marks BJP India speak of mob violence and point to hostile official measures like broadly drafted anti-conversion laws as well as occasional outbursts of mob violence. Many fear the power of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, or RSS, a nationwide Hindu nationalist organization with close ties to BJP leadership, it added.
However, Mr Mead believes that India is a complicated place, and there are other stories as well.
Some of the BJP's most striking recent political successes have come in predominantly Christian states in India's northeast. The BJP government of Uttar Pradesh, a state with a population of about 200 million, enjoys strong support from Shia Muslims. RSS activists have played a significant role in efforts to fight caste discrimination, the opinion piece said.
"After an intensive series of meetings with senior BJP and RSS leaders, as well as some of their critics, I am convinced that Americans and Westerners generally need to engage much more deeply with a complex and powerful movement," Mr Mead wrote.
From a fringe of mostly marginalized intellectuals and religious enthusiasts, the RSS has become perhaps the "most powerful civil-society organization in the world". Its rural and urban development programs, religious education and revival efforts and civic activism, staffed by thousands of volunteers from all walks of life, have succeeded in forming the political consciousness and focusing the energies of hundreds of millions of people, the Wall Street Journal piece added.
Recalling his meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Mr Mead writes, "The movement seems to have reached a crossroads. When I met with Yogi Adityanath, a Hindu monk serving as chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, considered one of the most radical voices in the movement--and sometimes spoken of as a successor to 72-year-old Prime Minister Modi--the conversation was about bringing investment and development to his state. Similarly, Mohan Bhagwat, the spiritual leader of the RSS, spoke to me about the need to accelerate India's economic growth, and disavowed the idea that religious minorities should suffer discrimination or loss of civil rights".
How these statements by top leaders to a foreign journalist will percolate down to the grassroots is impossible to predict. But I did get the impression that the leadership of a once-marginalized movement wants to position itself as the natural establishment of a rising power and is looking to engage deeply and fruitfully with the outside world without losing touch with its social and political base, he writes.
The invitation to engage with the BJP and RSS is one that Americans can't afford to reject. As tensions with China rise, the US needs India as both an economic and political partner. Understanding the ideology and the trajectory of the Hindu nationalist movement is as important for business leaders and investors seeking to engage economically with India as it is for diplomats and policymakers wanting to put the strategic relationship on a stable footing, the Wall Street Journal stated.

According to the NDTV report, the footage is from Saturday, the day police launched a crackdown against Amritpal Singh. He was last seen escaping in a Mercedes SUV.&nbsp;
Citing sources NDTV said, Amritpal Singh, changed cars and then changed his clothes in the Brezza.
To evade the police, he swapped his traditional religious clothes for a shirt and trousers.&nbsp;

&nbsp;Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday attacked the government for diamantaire Mehul Choksi's removal from the Interpol database of Red Notices, saying fugitives are getting respite while the ED-CBI pursue opposition leaders.
He also alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's slogan of "Na khane doonga" has become another "jumla" (rhetoric).
The attack came after the name of Choksi, wanted in a Rs 13,000-crore scam in the Punjab National Bank, is understood to have been removed from the Interpol database of Red Notices on the basis of his plea to the Lyon-headquartered agency, people in the know of the development had said.
"ED-CBI for opposition leaders but release from Interpol for 'our Mehul bhai' of Modi ji. When Parliament can be stalled for 'best friend', then how can help for the 'old friend ' be denied who absconded five years ago," Kharge said in a tweet in Hindi.
"Thousands of crores of the country were lost and 'Na khaane doonga' became another 'jumla'," the Congress chief also said.
The Congress said while the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) pursue Opposition leaders with "great vigour", they allow a lifesaver to the wanted diamantaire.

A spokesperson for the diamantaire said the decision of Interpol to delete the Red Notice strengthens the claims of Choksi about his alleged kidnapping during his stay in Antigua.

Several opposition party leaders on Tuesday held a protest in the corridors of Parliament House and raised slogans demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the Adani issue. &nbsp;They also hung a banner that read "We want JPC" from the first floor of the Parliament building.
TMC MPs held a separate protest in the Parliament complex and demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi break his silence on the Adani issue.
Accusing the government of helping businessman Gautam Adani by not ordering a probe into allegations of fraud levelled against his group, the party demanded that Adani be arrested.
"Adani should be arrested. Modi is trying to protect Adani in the Rs 1 lakh crore scam. This is also the reason why they are not allowing any discussion in Parliament. The TMC leadership has already demanded that the 10 non-BJP states should begin their own probe into this and ensure that public money is not misused," said TMC Rajya Sabha MP Derek O'Brien.
TMC Lok Sabha MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay demanded an explanation from the prime minister on how public money was used by Adani. "PM Modi should explain this in the House. How LIC-SBI money ended up with Adani," he said.

Leaders of opposition parties had earlier met in the Parliament complex and decided to press for a JPC probe into the Adani issue.
Leaders of opposition parties, including the Congress, DMK, RJD, CPI-M, CPI, NCP, Shiv Sena (UBT), JDU, JMM, IUML, AAP, MDMK, attended the meeting in the chamber of Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge.
Both houses of Parliament were adjourned till 2 pm Tuesday amid uproar over the Adani issue and demand by ruling party members that Rahul Gandhi apologise for his democracy remarks.
"This morning Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge was given permission by the Chairman to speak. He got up to do so but was not allowed by sloganeering BJP MPs. Chairman then adjourned RS. How can the logjam be broken if Modi Govt behaves like this," AICC general secretary Jairam Ramesh said on Twitter after the House was adjourned.
The opposition parties have been demanding a JPC probe into the Adani Group issue, saying only a JPC can bring out the truth in the matter, after US based Hindenburg Research report made allegations of financial irregularities and stock manipulation by the Adani Group.
The Adani group has denied the allegations and said no wrongdoing has been done by it.

The district administration here imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC with an eye on security ahead of Republic Day.
Flying drones, microlight aircraft, gliders, hot-air balloons, kites and Chinese microlights will be prohibited till January 26, according to an order issued on Friday by District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav.
Yadav has ordered operators of cyber cafes, guest houses, hotels and paying guest accommodations and landlords and other offices to keep records and ID proofs of tenants, servants, visitors and guests.
"Orders have been issued in view of security reasons to curb the activities of anti-social elements on the occasion of Republic Day.
"Action will be taken against those who disobey the orders under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code," the district administration said in a statement.

As Amritpal Singh remains untraceable, Punjab police release his possible looks

The police have appealed to people to help them in tracing him.

After Amritpal Singh, the self-styled Sikh preacher managed to give police a slip after changing his vehicle on Saturday when police had launched a crackdown against him and his outfit 'Waris Punjab De', Punhab Police on Tuesday released seven photographs of the Khalistan sympathiser, including some in which he is not wearing a turban, to seek public help to nab the fugitive.
The police have appealed to people to help them in tracing him.
In some of the pictures, Singh, who claims to be an ardent follower of Jarnail Singh Bhinderwala, is seen clean shaven and without turban.&nbsp;

Strong tremors jolted parts of north India, including Delhi-NCR, on Tuesday night as an earthquake of magnitude 6.6 struck the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan.
Panic-stricken people rushed out of buildings as the earthquake struck around 10.20 pm and was also felt in Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan.
There was disruption in mobile services in some parts of the Jammu region immediately after the earthquake, an official said.
There was no immediate report of any loss of life or property.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday commuted the death sentence of a man, who had kidnapped and killed a seven-year-old boy in Tamil Nadu in 2009, to 20-year imprisonment, saying there was "possibility of reformation" even though he has committed a ghastly crime.
Calling on the Centre to reflect and respond to the issue, the&nbsp; top court pointed out if execution of the death penalty by hanging is "humane".
As per India Today, the observation were made during the hearing on a plea seeking a ban on the punishment of death by hanging.&nbsp;
The top court said even though the crime committed by the man is unquestionably grave and unpardonable, it is not appropriate to affirm the death sentence that was awarded to him.

BJP leader Baburao Chinchansur, believed to be one of those who played a key role in defeating AICC president M Mallikarjun Kharge, in the 2019 Lok Sabha election, appears set to join the Congress in Karnataka.
Chinchansur, a prominent leader of the Koli-Kabbaliga community in the Kalyana Karnataka region, resigned from his post of Member of the Legislative Council on Monday.
He had represented Gurmitkal assembly constituency in Kalaburagi district from 2008 to 2018, and was a Minister in the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government earlier. However, he quit the Congress in 2018 after his defeat in the assembly election and joined the BJP.

As a BJP member, he is viewed as one of the main leaders who played a key role in defeating Kharge in Gulbarga (Kalaburagi) Lok Sabha constituency. BJP candidate Umesh Jadhav, who too had resigned from the Congress and joined the BJP, won that election.
Congress sources said Chinchansur is expected to join the party in the coming days.
Earlier this month, another BJP MLC Puttanna resigned from the Legislative Council and joined the Congress.
When reporters sought a reaction from Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, he said Chinchansur had come from the Congress and was going back to the same party. He added that the BJP was strong in Gurmitkal and Chinchansur quitting the party would not have any effect on the party&rsquo;s prospects there.
Assembly elections in Karnataka are due by May.
BJP stalwart and former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa refused to discuss the issue of Chinchansur's switching of loyalties, as he had already quit.

Opposing Sisodia's bail, the Central Bureau of Investigation said he could influence witnsess and hamper the probe by destroying or hiding the evidence, if set free.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia who is in judicial custody in connection with the alleged Delhi excise policy scam in his bail plea on Tuesday told a Delhi court that his wife was unwell and his son was studying abroad, and hence it was his responsibility to look after her.
Opposing Sisodia's bail, the Central Bureau of Investigation said he could influence witnsess and hamper the probe by destroying or hiding the evidence, if set free.
The former Delhi minister contended that he cooperated with the probe agency &nbsp;and searches did not reveal any incriminating evidence against him. His lawyer argued that Sisodia was not a flight risk, and that his custodial probe was also needed anymore.
In response, CBI counsel said the probe agency has 60 days' time to file the chargesheet and investigation will be seriously compromised if Sisodia is granted bail, NDTV reported.
Meanwhile, the court on Tuesday sought the Enforcement Directorate's response on a bail plea of former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in the money laundering case.
On March 17, the court extended the ED custody of the AAP leader by five days till March 22.
The ED arrested Sisodia on March 9 in the Tihar Jail, where he was lodged in connection with a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) case about alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy for 2021-22. The CBI arrested Sisodia on February 26.
