Delhi couple assaulted house maid, chopped hair: Police

In West Delhi's Rajouri Garden a housemaid was allegedly assaulted by the owners on Sunday.

According to the police the 48-year-old woman laboured as a house help and was beaten up by the accused couple who chopped her hair as well.

The victim was identified as Rajni who hails from Siliguri in West Bengal and works in Delhi as domestic help.

The placement agency owner reportedly said that the couple dropped Rajni at his office in very poor condition. After some time he noticed that she was lying in her urine and wasn't able to move.

Rajni was hospitalised and has told the police that the accused couple dragged her out of her room and chopped off her hair.

Police said the medical examination report of Safdarjung Hospital asserted that she had suffered from “physical assault”, “head trauma, and was “vomiting”. She also had injuries on her eyes, face, limbs, abdomen along with other body parts.

Police have booked the couple who are in the hiding.
