CBSE Class 12 results 2022: overall pass percentage dips to 92.71%, girls outperform boys

The number of students who have scored 95 percent and above has also significantly dipped compared to 2021. In 2022, 33,432 candidates have scored above 95 percent, down from 70,004 in 2021.

    The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday announced the results of Class 12 board examinations, recording an overall pass percentage of 92.71 percent, much lower than last year's 99.37 percent.

    Meanwhile, girls have outdone boys with the overall pass percentage of girls being 94.54 percent and that of boys being 91.25 percent.

    The results can be accessed at the CBSE's official website: cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in.

    The number of students who have scored 95 percent and above has also significantly dipped compared to 2021. In 2022, 33,432 candidates have scored above 95 percent, down from 70,004 in 2021.

    In 2021, when the examinations had to be cancelled amid the COVID-19 outbreak, the board had tabulated results of Class 12 students through a complex formula that factored in students’ performance in school and also Class 10 board exams.
