Mishra was removed on a complaint by Vishal Singh, who helped him in preparing the report. Mishra told NDTV he was betrayed by Vishal Singh who has now been appointed as the survey commissioner.
According to Singh Mishra had appointed a videographer who was giving statements in the media and spreading rumours.  Appearing to concede that the videographer he hired had leaked the details, Mishra fienged helplessness saying he hired the photographer, but he cheated.
The court is hearing the petition of five Hindu women who claim there are idols of Hindu gods and goddesses inside the mosque.nism at the reservoir.
Meanwhile, declining to stay proceedings before a Varanasi court, the Supreme Court Tuesday asked the Varanasi district magistrate to secure the area where a Shivling was claimed to have been found without impeding or restricting the rights of Muslims to access and offer namaz at the mosque.

In a fresh terror attack on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir, a liquor shop was targeted in Baramulla. Terrorists hurled a grenade at the newly-opened liquor store, killing one person and injuring 3 others.
The attack occurred in a high-profile area housing offices of many police officials, as well as Army and CRPF camps, as per reports. The grenade was reportedly thrown in via the opening used to hand over liquor bottles to customers.
All the victims were employees at the shop. They were identified as Ranjit Singh, Goverdhan Singh, Govind Singh, and Ravi Kumar. They were rushed to a hospital where one succumbed to his injuries.
Heavy deployment of security personnel was seen in the area following the attack.

The Pune police have registered a FIR against three BJP workers for allegedly assaulting an NCP woman member in an auditorium here during a face-off between the two sides at a book release event attended by Union minister Smriti Irani, an official said on Tuesday.
The incident had taken place on Monday when workers of the Congress and NCP, which share power with the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, staged protests against price rise outside a luxury hotel and the Bal Gandharva auditorium, where Irani attended events during her visit to Pune city.
"An offence was registered on late Monday night. We have booked three BJP workers under Indian Penal Code Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and other relevant sections," Deccan Gymkhana police station's senior inspector Murlidhar Karpe said.
As per the FIR, the woman NCP functionary and three other party members had gone to the auditorium to give a memorandum to Irani over the rising inflation and LPG price hike issue.
The NCP woman member in her police complaint later alleged that she and other party functionaries were assaulted and heckled by BJP workers.
Following the face-off, a video showed the police present at the venue escorting four NCP women members out of the auditorium.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday launched two indigenously built warships 'Surat' and 'Udaygiri' at the Mazagon Docks in Mumbai.
This is the first time that the two indigenously built warships have been launched concurrently, the Mazgaon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) said.
The MDL is a premier ship and submarine building defence public sector undertaking.
'Surat' is the fourth ship of Project 15B Destroyers, which heralds a significant makeover of the P15A (Kolkata Class) destroyers, and is named after the commercial capital of Gujarat and also the second largest commercial hub of western India after Mumbai, the Navy said.
The Project 15B class of ships are the Navy's next generation stealth guided missile destroyers being built at the MDL.
'Udaygiri', named after a mountain range in Andhra Pradesh, is the third ship of Project 17A Frigates. It is a follow on of the P17 Frigates (Shivalik Class) with improved stealth features, advanced weapons and sensors and platform management systems, the Navy said.
The new warship is the reincarnation of the erstwhile 'Udaygiri', the Leander Class ASW Frigate, which saw numerous challenging operations in its illustrious service to the country, spanning over three decades from February 1976 to August 2007, it added.

Forensic experts have been called, a team from ISRO has collected samples but there has been no comment from them so far. 
Providing one explanation for the incidents, astronomer Jonathan McDowell had tweeted on May 12 that the debris could possibly be from the 're-entry of the third stage of a Chinese launch rocket.  The rocket had lifted off on September 9, 2021, carrying a 5,500-kg communication satellite to geostationary transit orbit.
In an interview to Indian Express, Jonathan McDowell, an astronomer at the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, said that he was identifying the debris based on tracking data which shows that the Chinese launch rocked was the only reentry that went near India on May 12. 
He also told Indian Express that though the predicted path was 1000 kms north of villages where the metal objects fell but it is within the uncertainities range.

A religious ritual went horribly wrong and left a man dead in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district on Sunday.
A man, who was supposed to slaughter a goat ended up slaughtering a man during an animal sacrifice during the Sankranti celebrations, reports said.
The accused, Chalapathi, was supposed to carry out the animal sacrifice and cut the goat’s head. According to the police, Chalapathi was drunk at the time of the sacrifice and cut the throat of Suresh, who was holding the animal.
The animal sacrifice was organised at the local Yellamma temple.
Suresh, who was bleeding profusely, was rushed to Madanpelle government hospital where he was declared dead.
Chalapathi has been arrested by the police.

Scores of Punjab farmers protesting against the state government over their various demands spent Tuesday night on the Chandigarh-Mohali road near the YPS chowk in Mohali after they were stopped from marching towards Chandigarh.
The farmers, who owe allegiance to various farmer bodies of Punjab, were stopped from heading to the state capital on Tuesday to press the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government to meet their various demands.
After being stopped by the Mohali Police, the farmers had squatted and parked their vehicles in the middle of the road. They spent the night on the Chandigarh-Mohali road near YPS chowk.
The protesting farmers are carrying ration, beds, fans, coolers, utensils, cooking gas cylinders and other items with them.
Farmers had given an ultimatum to the government and said if the chief minister did not hold a meeting with them by Wednesday, they will move towards Chandigarh breaking barricades for holding an indefinite protest.
Chief Minister Mann on Tuesday had termed the farmers' protest "unwarranted and undesirable" and had asked the farmer unions to stop sloganeering and join hands with the state government to stop Punjab's depleting water table.
He had also said his doors were open for the farmers to hold talks but "hollow slogans" cannot break his resolve to check further depletion of the water table.
A heavy contingent of the police has been deployed at the Chandigarh-Mohali border.
Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu said farmers' demand for bonus on wheat was genuine.
“#Farmers demand for bonus on wheat is genuine. Have been raising this issue since beginning of procurement season,” he tweeted.
Several farmer unions, affiliated to the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), had given a call for an indefinite protest in Chandigarh on the lines of the year-long agitation at the Delhi borders against the Centre's three farm laws which were repealed in response to the protests.
Among their various demands, farmers want a Rs 500 bonus on each quintal of wheat as its yield has dropped and shrivelled because of unprecedented heatwave conditions.
They are also against the Punjab government's decision to allow paddy sowing in a staggered manner from June 18 to lessen the electricity burden and conserve underground water.
The protesters want the government to allow them to sow paddy from June 10. They also want a notification issued for the minimum support price for maize, moong and basmati.
The farmers are also demanding the government to lower the charges on the extension of electricity load from Rs 4,800 to Rs 1,200, 10-12 hours of power supply and release of outstanding sugarcane payments. They are also against the installation of smart electricity meters.

India saw over 23.5 lakh premature deaths due to pollution of all types -- including 16.7 lakh fatalities caused by air pollution -- in 2019, the highest among all countries globally, according to a new study published in The Lancet Planetary Health journal.
The majority of air pollution related deaths -- 9.8 lakh -- in India were caused by ambient PM2.5 pollution -- tiny pollution particles in the air that are two and one half microns or less in width, the researchers said.
Another 6.1 lakh were due to household air pollution, they said.
According to the study, burning of biomass in households was the single largest cause of air pollution deaths in India, followed by coal combustion and crop burning.
Globally, pollution of any kind was responsible for nine million deaths in 2019 -- equivalent to one in six deaths worldwide.

India intends to deploy the Russian-made S-400 missile defence system by next month to defend itself from Pakistani and Chinese threats as it is pursuing an extensive military modernisation effort encompassing air, ground, naval and strategic nuclear forces, Pentagon's top intelligence official has said during a Congressional hearing.
India started receiving the delivery of the S-400 missile defence system from Russia in December last year, Lieutenant General Scott Berrier, Director of Defence Intelligence Agency, told members of the Senate Armed Services Committee during a recent Congressional hearing.
As of October 2021, India’s military was seeking to procure advanced surveillance systems to strengthen its land and sea borders and boost its offensive and defensive cyber capabilities.
“In December, India received its initial delivery of the Russian S-400 air defence system, and it intends to operate the system to defend against Pakistani and Chinese threats by June 2022,” Berrier said.
“India continued to develop its own hypersonic, ballistic, cruise and air defence missile capabilities, conducting multiple tests in 2021. India has a growing number of satellites in orbit, and is expanding its use of space assets, likely pursuing offensive space capabilities,” he said.
Berrier told the lawmakers that New Delhi is pursuing an extensive military modernisation effort encompassing air, ground, naval and strategic nuclear forces with an emphasis on domestic defence production.
India is taking steps to establish Integrated Theatre Commands that will improve its joint capability among its three military services.
Since 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given priority to strengthen India’s economy by expanding its domestic defence industry and establishing a negative import list to curtail defence purchases from foreign suppliers.
“India’s long-standing defence relationship with Russia remains strong, holding their first ‘2+2’ format talks in December — a joint foreign and defence ministerial that India previously only held with the United States, Japan and Australia.
“India has maintained a neutral stance on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and continues to call for peace,” Berrier told the lawmakers.
According to Berrier, throughout 2021, New Delhi continued to implement a foreign policy aimed at demonstrating India’s role as a leading power and net provider of security in the Indian Ocean region.
India seeks to promote prosperity and ensure stability in the Indo-Pacific region by seeking strategic partnerships to build influence through bilateral and multilateral mechanisms such as the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), he said.
“New Delhi seeks to deepen intelligence and operational cooperation on cybersecurity, protect critical information infrastructure, prevent adversary manipulation of public opinion, and to create standards and norms that protect and secure data governance,” Berrier said.
Following the collapse of the Afghan government, New Delhi is increasingly concerned about potential attacks against India by Pakistan-based terrorist groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed - empowered by a Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, he said.
The evacuation of Indian personnel from Afghanistan degraded its resources to monitor potential threats and cultivate influence over regional stability, he said.
Despite recommitting to the 2003 ceasefire, India remains postured to respond to perceived militant threats, and has continued counterterrorism operations in Kashmir, Berrier said.
“Occasional skirmishes between Indian and Pakistani troops will continue, and a high-profile attack in India by Pakistan-based terrorists risks an Indian military response,” he said.
Berrier said that Chinese-Indian relations remain strained following the fatal clashes in summer 2020 between their respective forces along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
During 2021, both sides held multiple rounds of high-level diplomatic and military talks that resulted in a mutual pullback of forces from several standoff points.
However, both sides maintain close to 50,000 troops along with artillery, tanks and multiple rocket launchers, and both are building infrastructure along the LAC, Berrier added.

A burqa-clad terrorist walked up to a newly-opened wine shop in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district, dropped a grenade inside through the porthole window, causing an explosion which killed one employee and left three others injured, police said.
A police spokesman said the attacker was riding pillion on a bike that stopped near the wine shop at Dewan Bagh in Baramulla around 8.30 pm.

"Four employees of the said shop got injured. Among them one succumbed to his injuries," the spokesman said.
He said the four employees have received splinter injuries in the terror attack.
"All the injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. However, one of the injured identified as Ranjit Singh, a resident of Bakra in Rajouri district, succumbed to injuries," he added.
The other injured employees have been identified as Govardhan Singh, Ravi Kumar, both residents of Billawar in Kathua and Govind Singh, a resident of Kangra in Rajouri, he said adding Govind Singh has been referred to Srinagar hospital for specialised treatment.
The spokesman said senior police officers immediately reached the crime scene. "The area has been cordoned and a search is going on."

Authorities have deployed additional security at Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's tomb in Aurangabad after an MNS leader questioned the need for the monument's existence here in Maharashtra and said it should be destroyed, an ASI official said on Wednesday.
Notably, AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi's recent visit to the tomb was criticised by the ruling Shiv Sena in the state as well as the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashta Navnirman Sena (MNS).
On Tuesday, MNS spokesperson Gajanan Kale in a tweet wondered what was the need for Aurangzeb's tomb in Maharashtra and said it should be destroyed so that people would not go there.
After this tweet, some people in Khultabad area, where the tomb is located, tried to lock the structure, which is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
When contacted, ASI's Aurangabad circle superintendent Milan Kumar Chauley told PTI that some people tried to lock the tomb, claiming there was a threat of it being vandalised.
"But, I said unless anything is given to the ASI in writing, I shall not act on it. We have kept the monument open and have added four more security guards there. We also conveyed about the situation to police and they sent a security van there," he said.
Days after Owaisi's visit to the tomb earlier this month, NCP chief Sharad Pawar had wondered if such an act was aimed at creating a new controversy in Maharashtra which is functioning peacefully.
