A waitress of a five-star hotel has been booked for allegedly spilling hot tea on a seven-year-old girl's hand.

5-star hotel waitress booked for spilling hot tea on 7-yr-old girl's hand

A waitress working at a five-star hotel in Mumbai has been booked after she allegedly spilled hot tea on a seven-year-old girl's hand.

According to the child's family, the waitress who was carrying hot tea in a kettle on a tray, bumped into the child, causing her a burn injury.

The girl said that the waitress asked her not to shout.

When the parents came to know about the incident, they rushed the girl to a hospital where the doctors said that she suffered six to seven per cent burns.

An officer said they have recorded the statements of some of the guests who witnessed the incident and have also sought CCTV footage of the spot from the hotel authorities, the Indian Express reported.

The police are in the process of gathering evidence in the matter.
