Notably, the shooting comes after security forces gunned down two militants in an encounter that took place in Kashmir's Kulgam. 

Kashmir Police: terrorists fired upon a person in Anantnag

A civilian was injured after militants open-fired in South Kashmir's Anantnag district on October 4.

The injured was identified as Sahil Bashir Dar, a resident of Wanihama.

Taking to X, Kashmir Zone Police said, the youth suffered injuries and was soon shifted to the hospital. The area was later cordoned off by security forces.

Notably, the shooting comes after security forces gunned down two militants in an encounter that took place in Kashmir's Kulgam.
