‘Kashmir isn’t Gaza…’: activist Shehla Rashid praises PM Modi, Amit Shah; internet users react

A former student leader at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Shehla Rashid is hitting headlines because of her recent statements. While speaking with news agency ANI, Shehla Rashid said that Kashmir is not Gaza.

She said, “I am much more grateful for today's situation. Kashmir is not Gaza, it has become clear that Kashmir is not Gaza, because Kashmir was just involved in these back-and-forth protests and sporadic incidents of insurgency and infiltrations.”

Shehla Rashid also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. She said, “All of those things, somebody needed to break the ice, and for that, I would like to credit the present government, especially the Prime Minister and the Home Minister. They have ensured a political solution to it, which I would say is bloodless.”

Soon after this, the clip of her interview went viral and several social media users reacted to this by saying that Shehla is a political opportunist.

While others reacted by saying that earlier, she was a staunch critic of PM Modi and now she just praises him.
