Karnataka BJP leader warned party of Prajwal Revanna's 'sex scandal'

A Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader allegedly warned the state and central party leadership in December last year about the 'sexual assault' claims against Janata Dal (Secular) MP Prajwal Revanna.

In his letter to BJP state president BY Vijayendra, Devaraje Gowda said he received a pen drive with nearly 3,000 obscene videos of women involving Prajwal Revanna. The letter, dated December 8, 2023, cited videos of women, including government officials, performing sexual acts.

Gowda went on to accuse Revanna of blackmailing the women into continuing such activities.

“There are grave allegations against several leaders of the HD Deve Gowda family, including Prajwal Revanna, the NDA candidate of the JD(S), the party that we are in alliance with,” Gowda wrote.

He claimed the pen drive he received contained 2,976 videos and photos, and a copy of these have reached the Congress as well.

“If we align with the JD(S) and if we nominate a JD(S) candidate in Hassan for the Lok Sabha elections, these videos can be used as a 'Brahmastra' (destructive weapon), and we will be tainted as a party that aligned with the family of a rapist. This will be a big blow to the image of our party nationally,” Gowda said.
