Jharkhand's Uranium Potential in Defence Sector Highlighted by CM Soren

Ranchi, Sep 19 (PTI): Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren highlighted the state's substantial uranium resources during the Defence East Tech symposium on Friday. He emphasized the state's potential contribution to the manufacturing of nuclear weapons. At the event, Soren expressed the Jharkhand government's willingness to collaborate fully with the Centre to achieve self-reliance in the defence sector. "Jharkhand is endowed with uranium and can significantly contribute to nuclear weapon manufacturing. The state government is prepared to cooperate fully with the Centre to make the defence sector self-reliant," Soren stated. Uranium is fundamental to developing nuclear weapons.
