Top JEE-Advanced 2025 Achievers Reveal Key Strategies for Success

Kota (Rajasthan), Jun 2 (PTI) – Toppers of this year's JEE-Advanced shared their strategies and insights that proved crucial in overcoming one of India's most challenging engineering entrance examinations. Analyzing mock papers, concentrating on NCERT textbooks, and taking timely breaks were key to their success.

The results for the IIT entrance exam, JEE-Advanced 2025, were released on Monday morning.

In an exclusive interview with PTI, the top two rank holders shed light on their preparation techniques. Rajit Gupta, the all-India topper, began his JEE journey in Class 10.

"My preparation wasn't anything extraordinary. My main goal was to complete the assigned tasks and solve modules promptly," stated Gupta, who achieved the highest score of 322 out of 360 in the examination.

Gupta mentioned he solved selective questions from HC Verma and Irodov, but his primary focus was the NCERT textbook.

"I didn't stick to a rigid study schedule in terms of hours. My priority was understanding a topic fully. I generally spent most of my time studying," he added.

Whenever a problem proved tricky, Gupta took breaks. "Conversing with my younger sister lifted my mood, and I'd return to my studies refreshed." His father, Deepak Gupta, an engineer at BSNL in Kota, noted that Rajit tackled "piles of books" and "a heap of mock papers."

Sakshyam Jindal from Hisar, Haryana, who secured the second position in the Common Rank List (CRL), had been based in Kota for his preparation over the last two years. Both Jindal and Gupta attended the Allen Career Institute.

Jindal, confident in Maths, dedicated more time to Physics and Chemistry. "Regular analysis of mock tests refines your understanding and helps alleviate exam panic," he advised.

When asked about his future aspirations, Jindal said, "My immediate goal is to join IIT Bombay." He further added, "Currently, I don't have plans to study abroad for better opportunities."
