Mumbai, May 27 (PTI) A 48-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly trespassing into actor Aditya Roy Kapur's residence in the Khar suburb of Mumbai, police reported on Tuesday.

The woman, Gazala Siddique, who resides in the UAE, arrived in Mumbai on Monday and made her way to the actor’s apartment building on Shirli Rajan Road, according to an official.

She gained entry into the building along with her belongings by providing security guards with some pretexts, subsequently reaching the actor's flat.

Upon entering, Siddique reportedly sat in the living room, leading Roy Kapur's staff to attempt to contact the actor to verify if her visit was expected, the official added.

Upon clarification from the actor that he did not have any prior knowledge of her arrival, the staff promptly alerted the police, he mentioned.

During interrogation, Siddique revealed her intention was to meet the actor.

The Khar police have registered a case and arrested her on charges of trespassing; further investigation is ongoing.
