INDIA bloc stages nationwide protests against suspension of MPs

Leaders of the INDIA bloc are carrying out nationwide protests against the suspension of 146 opposition MPs from the Parliament.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, former party president Rahul Gandhi along with other party leaders will hold the protest at the Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

Several senior leaders of Opposition parties are participating in the demonstration.

On Thursday, the Opposition leaders carried out a protest march from Parliament to Vijay Chowk.

A total of 146 MPs -- 100 from Lok Sabha and 46 from Rajya Sabha -- are currently suspended so far for creating a ruckus and disrupting proceedings in both Houses, while they were demanding a statement from Union Minister Amit Shah about the Parliament security breach incident.
