In under 24-hours, Twitter crowd funds bike for Zomato gig worker 

Aditya Sharma, a resident of Rajasthan, was handed his food delivery by a gig workers who was making the deliveries on his bicycle. Curious, Sharma asked more about him.
Durga Meena told Sharma that he was working as a gig worker for Zomato after losing his job as a teacher. Meena who holds a degree in BCom was teaching for 12-years when he lost his job due to the Covid-19 pandemic layoffs. Making the rounds on his bicycle, Meena hardly has any time to rest. He earns around Rs 10,000 rupees a month.

When Sharma offered Meena help, the latter said he needs just enough for the down payment and world return all the money.

Sharma appealed to the Twitter community to help raise funds for a motorbike for Meena which will ease his work. The Twitter community came through for him. Within 24-hours enough money had been raised for him to buy a bike.
