Imran Khan's warning on Indian missile 'accidental' launch; says 'could've responded but...' | Pakistan

Days after an Indian missile fell in Pakistan after being "accidentally fired", Pakistan Prime Minister commented on the incident. Imran Khan reportedly said that Pakistan could have responded to the missile incident, but chose to exercise restraint. Earlier, Khan's government sought a joint investigation to ascertain the sequence of events.

The Indian government has said that the missile was "accidentally fired" on March 9 due to a "technical malfunction" during "routine maintenance". India regretted the incident, and the Narendra Modi government constituted a high-level Court of Inquiry to probe the incident.

Earlier, Pakistan had claimed that the unarmed missile was first detected by its teams over Sirsa in the north Indian state of Haryana. Subsequently, the missile entered Pakistani airspace and covered over 120 km before falling near Mia Channu, as per the Pakistani military.
