Kuru in Lohardaga district recorded the highest rainfall of 144 mm in the 24 hours leading up to 8:30 am, according to an official. Ranchi registered 128 mm of rainfall, while Kuchai in Saraikela-Kharswan followed closely with 124.2 mm. A red alert has been issued, warning of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in several districts, including Bokaro, Dhanbad, Hazaribag, Giridih, and Ranchi. In light of this alert, the Ranchi district administration has advised residents to avoid low-lying areas, refrain from unnecessary travel, and take caution on waterlogged roads.
