The Chief Minister further informed that arrangements will also be made for those senior citizens who have a stable source of income.

Khattar launches Mukhyamantri Matritva Sahayata Yojana portal

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Feb 15 inaugurated Mukhyamantri Matritva Sahayata Yojana Portal, a significant initiative aimed at providing crucial support to expectant mothers and lactating mothers across Haryana. Through this portal, mothers of children born on or after March 8, 2022, will be eligible to apply.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal shared this information while addressing a press conference. School Education Minister, Kanwar Pal also remained present on this occasion.

Notably Mukhyamantri Matritva Sahayata Yojana, initially announced in the budget for 2022-23 and subsequently notified on March 16, 2023, offers a one-time maternity benefit of Rs. 5000 to eligible mothers.

The Chief Minister said that women belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, partially or fully disabled women, BPL ration cardholders, beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, e-Shram cardholders can avail the benefits of this scheme. In addition to these, beneficiaries of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, women with annual family income of less than Rs. 8 lakh, Anganwadi workers, helpers, and ASHA workers, as well as women from any other category specified by the central government, will also benefit from the scheme.

The Chief Minister said that the women will need to provide their Aadhaar number to avail the benefits of the scheme. The state government has allocated a budget of Rs. 25 crore for this scheme.

The Chief Minister further informed that arrangements will also be made for those senior citizens who have a stable source of income.

Ashima Brar, Director General, Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, Managing Director, UHBVN Dr. Saket Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, HKRNL Sh. Amit Khatri, Media Secretary Sh. Praveen Atreya, Chief Media Coordinator Sh. Sudesh Kataria and other officers also remained present on this occasion.
