The post included a screenshot of the chat where the driver&rsquo;s last message read, "I want to go to kidnap you happily." Reddit users were divided in their reactions. While some speculated it might have been an autocorrect error, others suggested reporting the incident to authorities or Uber&rsquo;s customer support.

Earlier, on Thursday, the JJP chief and former deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala wrote to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, urging his intervention to end the political stalemate in the state. He called on the Governor to seek a floor test at the earliest and impose Presidents' Rule in the state if the government failed to prove its majority in the Assembly.
Playing down the Opposition claims that the BJP was presiding over a minority government, CM Saini said, "They (Opposition) have nothing to do with the people and only want to mislead them. They should give in writing to the Governor as to how many MLAs they have in their support and not mislead the people. We won the trust vote recently and will win it again if asked to prove majority in the House. They are merely trying to distract public attention from other issues. Corruption and scams were rampant under the previous Congress rule in the state."

The Congress on Wednesday sought the imposition of President's Rule followed by fresh polls in Haryana after three Independent MLAs withdrew support to the BJP dispensation, reducing the Nayab Singh Saini government to a minority in the state assembly.
The party said it would write to Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya to demand that the BJP government be dismissed. It also asked the JJP, the INLD and Independent MLA Balraj Kundu to write similar letters to the governor to give credence to their claim of opposing the BJP.
Talking to reporters in Sirsa on Wednesday, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini asserted that his government was not in trouble and was working strongly.
"We are going to write to the Governor that three Independent MLAs have withdrawn support and they have extended support to our party... the government is in the minority and they have no right to stay in power. We will demand that the government be dismissed, President's Rule be imposed and fresh elections be held," Haryana Congress chief Udai Bhan said.
"Likewise, the JJP should also write a letter that the government be dismissed. INLD's Abhay Singh Chautala and Independent MLA Balraj Kundu, who claim to be opposing the government, should also write similar letters to the Governor," he added.
Bhan said the three Independent MLAs have already written to the Governor regarding their withdrawal of support.
Senior Congress leader B B Batra said the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), once an ally of the BJP in the state, should write to the Governor making it clear that they were not supporting the dispensation.
On Tuesday, JJP leader Digvijay Singh Chautala said Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda should initiate the process to "bring down" the Nayab Singh Saini government "which has lost the trust of people".

BJP's former ally Jannayak Janata Party said on Wednesday that it is ready to help the Congress bring down the BJP government in Haryana, a day after three Independent MLAs withdrew support to the ruling party.
Claiming that the BJP government is reduced to a minority, the Congress, on its part, demanded the imposition of the President's rule and early assembly elections in the state.
However, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini asserted that his government is not in any trouble. His predecessor and party colleague M L Khattar also claimed that many MLAs are in touch with the BJP and there is "nothing to worry ".
Independent MLAs Sombir Sangwan (Dadri), Randhir Singh Gollen (Pundri) and Dharampal Gonder (Nilokheri) withdrew support to the ruling BJP in Haryana on Tuesday and announced that they would back the Congress.
The fast-paced political developments in the state come at a time when Lok Sabha polls are just a fortnight away and Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in October.
Speaking to reporters in Hisar, Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) leader Dushyant Chautala said if a no-confidence motion is brought in the Assembly, they will vote against the Saini government.
"I want to tell Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda that going by the present numbers in the Assembly, when this government is in a minority, if a step is taken that this government is brought down during (Lok Sabha) elections, then we will fully consider to support them in this from outside".
"Now, the Congress has to think whether they will take a step to bring down the BJP government," Chautala said.
Reacting to this, Congress leader Hooda said, "They should write to the Governor (that government is in a minority)".
Dushyant Chautala also ruled out reviving his party's alliance with the BJP. The two parties had snapped ties in March.
"I have made it quite clear that JJP will not go with BJP now," Chautala said and demanded that Saini should either prove majority or submit his resignation.
The 90-member Haryana assembly at present has an effective strength of 88 with Karnal and Rania assembly seats being vacant. The BJP has 40 MLAs, the Congress 30 and the JJP 10 in the House. INLD and Haryana Lokhit Party has one member. Independents are six.
The government has the support of two of the Independent legislators.
Independent MLA Nayan Pal Rawat said he had given unconditional support to the BJP in 2019 and it is continuing even now.
"The government is not in any trouble, it is working strongly," Chief Minister Saini told reporters at Sirsa while replying to queries on the withdrawal of support.
However, Hooda said the Saini government is in a minority and it has no moral right to stay in power.
INLD's lone MLA Abhay Singh Chautala said that either the government should prove it has a majority or else "Governor's rule should be imposed".
Hitting out at the Congress, Saini said the opposition party's actions are only aimed at fulfilling the personal aspirations of some people. But the people of Haryana will not let the Congress' designs succeed, the chief minister said, adding the entire country is witnessing the "misdeeds" of the opposition party.
Later in Karnal, Saini said Congress has been rejected by various sections and is sinking.
About the three Independent MLAs, Saini said, "They are able legislators. How did fall into the (Congress) trap.... Four days ago I called them and spoke to them," said Saini.
Former chief minister Khattar downplayed the developments."During election season, who is going where is not going to have much impact. Many MLAs are in touch with us also, so no one should worry about this," he told reporters in Karnal.
In Chandigarh, while replying to a question, Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta said that the Saini government had won the trust vote on March 13.
"How can we say that the government is in a minority? It is intact and running as it was earlier," he told reporters.
Asked if a no-confidence motion can be brought against the government, the Speaker said, "Usually, when a no-confidence is brought, another one can only be brought six months after that. It is a technical matter." Haryana Congress chief Udai Bhan said the party will write to the governor stating that the Saini government is in a minority and that it should be dismissed, the President's Rule imposed in the state and fresh polls announced.
The opposition party also asked the JJP, the INLD and Independent MLA Balraj Kundu to write similar letters to the governor to give credence to their claim of opposing the BJP.
Asked about some JJP MLAs indicating support to the BJP after his party pulled out of the coalition government in March, Dushyant Chautala said notices have been issued to three of them and they have been asked to submit a reply.
He said his party MLAs are bound by whip and if anyone wants to extend support against the party line they will have to resign first.
JJP MLAs Jogi Ram Sihag and Ram Niwas Surjakhera have extended support to the BJP in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls. JJP's Devender Babli has also called a meeting of his supporters in Tohana on May 11 to decide on the future course of action. Sources said another JJP MLA Ram Karan Kala is also contemplating similar action.
Saini had replaced Manohar Lal Khattar as chief minister in March and the JJP's four-and-a-half-year-old post-poll alliance with BJP had come to an end.
State Assembly polls in Haryana are due in October while the Karnal Assembly bypoll is scheduled for May 25 along with voting to the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana.
Saini, the MP from Kurukshetra in the outgoing Lok Sabha, is the BJP candidate for the bypolls and if he wins, the party's strength in the Assembly will rise to 41.&nbsp;

According to a letter issued on Monday by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) traffic Virender Vij, May 20 has been set as the deadline for the auto drivers to comply with the order.
"All the presidents of the auto unions of district Gurugram are informed that by May 20 all the auto drivers should wear grey-coloured uniforms with the badge stitched on the left side. After this, as per the instructions of the transport commissioner, Haryana, the auto drivers who do not follow the order will be challaned under the section 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act," the letter stated.
"Dress code for auto drivers is already in force in Gurugram but some auto drivers are still not following the order. We have now given them time till May 20, after which strict action will be taken against auto drivers who do not follow the order," DCP Vij said.

At least the government that has lost trust of people, Hooda should initiate the process to bring it down." "Whether the JJP forms the government or whether the Congress forms the government, who supports whom...it is a political question," the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) leader said.

"She said he took her with him and boarded an empty bogie of a stationary train where he raped her. Later, two other men joined him and they too raped her," Shri Niwas, the SHO of Quilla police station said earlier.
The Quilla police station filed a Zero FIR in connection with the incident and later forwarded it to the Panipat Government Railway Police (GRP) for further action.
Police had earlier said the traumatised woman had also told them that she was taken to Sonipat later, where the accused threw her on the tracks and she lost her leg when a train went over her.
However, on Tuesday, the GRP said the woman claimed the train went over her as she fell on the tracks when she was walking after the accused fled.
GRP Inspector Rajesh said multiple police teams were at the job and further investigation was underway.
"The woman is traumatised and has not given a clear statement. She would be counselled," he said.
A Zero-FIR can be filed in any police station, irrespective of the place of incident/jurisdiction, and it can be later transferred to the appropriate police station.

Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya on Monday reflected on the Emergency, calling it a "dark period" in post-Independence India's history when constitutional rights were crushed.
Ahead of the 50th anniversary of the Emergency's imposition in 1975, Dattatreya, who was an RSS functionary at that time, shared his personal experiences of evading arrest and his imprisonment.
Upon declaration of Emergency on June 25, 1975, he had received instructions to avoid arrest as many activists were already rounded up.
"The rules of the Constitution that safeguard democracy were all crushed (during Emergency)," he told PTI Videos here.
To evade authorities, he said he went underground and adopted a new appearance by wearing a suit and tie and even changed his name to 'Dharmendra'.
His primary role while underground was to organise activists across various locations against the Emergency, and also ensuring their safety and providing support to the families of leaders who were arrested.
In one instance, Dattatreya and fellow activists attempted to hold a covert political meeting under the guise of a Satyanarayana Puja near a temple.
As police converged on the location, Dattatreya said he and present Tripura Governor N Indrasena Reddy managed to escape by scaling a 20-foot wall.
While Reddy escaped unharmed, Dattatreya hurt his leg in the process.
Eventually, he was arrested and imprisoned under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA). and lodged in Chanchalguda Jail in Hyderabad, where he was held alongside several political prisoners.
During his incarceration, he learned of his elder brother's demise. He was granted parole to attend the funeral, during which he was advised by a relative to secure his release through a deal by giving in writing to the government that he would not be part of such activities again.
However, encouragement from his mother strengthened his resolve to stay committed to the cause.

A court here on Monday extended the judicial custody by 14 days of social media influencer Jyoti Malhotra arrested last month on the suspicion of espionage.
The Hisar Police arrested Malhotra, who ran a YouTube channel 'Travel with JO', on the suspicion of espionage on May 16. Hailing from Hisar, the Youtuber was arrested at the New Aggarsain Extension and booked under provisions of the Official Secrets Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Malhotra's lawyer Kumar Mukesh said, "Her judicial remand has been further extended by 14 days and the next date of hearing has been fixed by the court on July 7." The 33-year-old YouTuber appeared before the court through video-conferencing, he said.
Earlier on June 9, another court here had rejected her regular bail plea.
Police had opposed the bail and argued that the investigation in this case was still going on.
After her arrest on May 16, Malhotra was remanded to five days of police custody by the court.
Following the completion of the remand, the court extended the custody by four more days after the police sought to question her further.
On May 26, the court remanded her to judicial custody for 14 days, which was further extended later.
The Hisar Police previously said no evidence had emerged to indicate Malhotra had access to any military or defence-related information but claimed she was in contact with some people, aware that they were Pakistani intelligence operatives.
Police sources had previously said she was in touch with Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, a staffer at the Pakistani High Commission, since November 2023.
India expelled Danish on May 13 for allegedly indulging in espionage.
Police had last month claimed that Pakistani intelligence operatives were developing Malhotra as an "asset".

A team of Gururgam police&rsquo;s crime unit on June 16 arrested a drug smuggler, identified as Nepal national Bimal Pahadi, from Sector 39, they said, adding that 1.60 kg of Sulpha and 116 grams of cocaine were recovered from him.
An FIR was registered against him at Sadar police station and he was taken on a four-day police remand after being produced in a city court.
During interrogation, Bimal revealed the names of his seven accomplices, including a woman, who provided him drugs, they said.
Subsequently, all the seven -- six Nigerian nationals and a Mizoram native -- were arrested on Wednesday night and Thursday, the police said.
Those arrested have been identified as Nigerian nationals Ugochukmv John alias David, Nnajiofor Peter Nmaemeka, Henry Onuchukwu, Ojukwa Ifenya, Friday Tobias Chikwu, Okolie Romanus and Mizoram native Lal Kothari, they said.
Except Okolie Romanus, none of the other foreign nationals had valid documents to stay in India, due to which sections of the Foreigners Act were also added to the FIR, they said.
"During interrogation, it came to the fore that Ugochukwu John already has cases registered against him in Delhi while Henry Onuchukwu is booked in several cases in Himachal Pradesh under NDPS Act,&rdquo; a spokesperson from the Gurugram police said.
&ldquo;Due to this, it is suspected that these accused were involved in illegal drug trafficking for a long time. We are questioning Bimal while others were sent into judicial custody,&rdquo; the spokesperson said.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday said while there was a policy paralysis in the country under the erstwhile UPA government, the country has marched on the path of development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "decisive leadership".
India now takes pride in its heritage and faces challenges strongly, Saini said at a press conference in Haryana's Panchkula on the completion of the Modi government's 11 years in office.
He was flanked by ministers Shyam Singh Rana, Krishan Lal Panwar, Arvind Sharma, Mahipal Dhanda, Krishan Kumar Bedi and Vipul Goel, and Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli.
The country has seen 11 "glorious" years under the PM's leadership, Saini said.
"During these 11 years, we have seen the rise of an India which takes pride in its heritage, faces challenges strongly and weaves ambitious dreams for the future," he said.
He also hit out at the erstwhile Congress-led UPA government, saying it was plagued with corruption and policy paralysis.
"It was a regime deeply immersed in scams and scandals. There was an atmosphere of negativity, fear and hopelessness," he said, adding that this blocked the country's development.
During those days, corruption, regionalism and nepotism ruled the roost, and a transparent administration was lacking, the chief minister alleged.
Under Prime Minister Modi, the country experienced a decisive leadership and a transparent administration. There has been an unprecedented change in the work culture and time-bound implementation of policies has been ensured, Saini said.
"Working on the principle of minimum government, maximum governance, processes have been simplified and public participation has been encouraged," he said.
The country has also made rapid economic progress in the last 11 years, he added.
Saini also spoke about the steps taken by the Modi government for the welfare of various sections of society, including the poor, the Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes.
He also touched upon a number of steps and initiatives taken for the welfare of the farmers.
