Haryana leads in GST collection with 22% surge, outperforms national average

In December 2023, Haryana recorded a striking 22% year-on-year increase in GST revenue, reaching Rs 8,130 crore, up from Rs 6,678 crore the previous year.

The growth significantly outpaces the national average increase of 10.3%, with India's overall GST collection hitting Rs 1,64,822 crore.

Haryana's robust performance underscores the success of its economic strategies and tax administration.

Neighboring regions also saw gains, with Himachal Pradesh at 5%, Punjab at 8%, Delhi at 16%, and Jammu and Kashmir at 20%.
