Haryana Board eases pass marks criteria in 10th grade evaluation

The Haryana Board of School Education has decided to introduce changes in the evaluation process for the 10th grade for the first time. It has been announced that the exams for both the 10th and 12th grades will commence from February 27 and continue until April 2. The Chairman of the board provided this information on Tuesday. It was revealed that, similar to CBSE, 10th-grade students will now need to score 33% combined in theory and practical exams to pass, whereas previously, they required separate 33% scores in practical exams.

Furthermore, it was mentioned that the pass percentage for the 10th grade will increase with the new evaluation process, offering students a stress-free examination environment. It is worth noting that this year (2024), a total of 580,533 candidates will be taking the exams across 1,482 examination centers in the state. Admit cards for these examinations can be downloaded from the board's website bseh.org.in starting February 20, Tuesday. Admit cards are being made available live from today.

According to the information provided, the Haryana Board of School Education has appointed two permanent observers at every examination center this time to prevent cheating. Additionally, police will also be deployed at every examination center to prevent external interference.
