Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has chosen to champion the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda over modern allopathy. During the launch of 'Soma-The Ayurvedic Kitchen' in Shalimar Bagh, she emphasized Ayurveda's lack of side effects compared to its modern counterpart. Highlighting health as crucial for national duty, she announced vast yoga initiatives for International Yoga Day, spanning 11 city locations. She wants citizens to explore Ayurveda at the Maharishi Ayurvedic Hospital. Her commitment is clear: promote wellness through India’s traditional practices, such as yoga and Ayurveda, benefiting from the teachings of sagacious ancestors. The Ayurvedic café will introduce a menu intertwining with Ayurvedic dietary principles. On June 21, she will personally partake in a yoga event at Yamuna Bank, reinforcing her devotion to holistic health. **Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Advocates Ayurveda Over Allopathy, Announces Major Yoga Initiatives for International Yoga Day** Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has highlighted the distinction between allopathic and Ayurvedic treatments, pointing out that while modern allopathic medicines may carry side effects, Ayurveda is generally free from such concerns. She made these remarks on Wednesday during the inauguration of an Ayurvedic café named "Soma-The Ayurvedic Kitchen" at a Shalimar Bagh hospital. In her address, Gupta revealed that the Delhi government is set to host extensive yoga programs across 11 locations in the city on June 21, the occasion of International Yoga Day. The newly launched café will offer a menu crafted around the principles of the Ayurvedic diet, according to a hospital official. Encouraging the populace to explore Ayurvedic treatments, Gupta urged visits to the Maharishi Ayurvedic Hospital, noting its popularity among international visitors seeking holistic health solutions. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, which she credited to the teachings of India's sages. She contrasted this with allopathy by noting its potential for side effects, suggesting Ayurveda offers a risk-free alternative. Gupta also criticized the previous AAP administration for neglecting yoga, attributing this to its association with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She praised Modi for elevating yoga on the global stage and underscored the importance of health in fulfilling one's duties to the nation. Gupta herself plans to attend a yoga event at Yamuna Bank. She concluded by emphasizing the significance of health as a precursor to national service, reinforcing her commitment to promoting wellness through traditional Indian practices like yoga and Ayurveda.
