Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Seeks Governor's Nod for New Cabinet

Gandhinagar, Oct 17 (PTI) - Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel met with Governor Acharya Devvrat on Friday morning to seek his approval for the swearing-in ceremony of new cabinet members, according to an official government release. During their meeting at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar, the Chief Minister briefed the governor on the current status of the Gujarat cabinet, as detailed in the release. The Chief Minister also requested the governor's consent to conduct the oath ceremony for the cabinet members. The ceremony is set to take place at the Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar at 11:45 am, marking a significant cabinet expansion. This move follows the resignation of all 16 ministers except for CM Patel on Thursday. The state government had previously announced that CM Patel would proceed with the cabinet expansion on Friday.
