Granted bail in drugs case: here's when Aryan Khan will walk out of jail

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan is likely to walk out of jail after three weeks today or tomorrow. Aryan was granted bail by Bombay High Court on Thursday in the drugs-on-cruise case.

But the star kid spent Thursday night in Mumbai's Arthur Road jail as the court is yet to give its operative order on the conditions imposed while granting bail. The judge had on Thursday said that he will pass the detailed order by Friday evening.

Aryan Khan's legal team will now try to complete the formalities for his release by Friday or Saturday.

Meanwhile, it was early Diwali at Shah Rukh Khan's residence Mannat as fans thronged to celebrate bail to their favourite star's son. Fans cheered and burst crackers outside Mannat on Thursday evening.

The case ignited a debate over whether Aryan Khan's incarceration was justified, given that no drugs were found on him and there were no signs of use. Social media has been flooded with messages of support, with many calling the arrest a witch-hunt.

Calling Aryan's arrest a "travesty of justice", his lawyer Satish Maneshinde said that the case was not such that warranted the 23-year-old's arrest.

Aryan Khan's lawyers had argued in court that no drugs were found on him and that the grounds for his arrest were flimsy.

The NCB, however, claimed he was part of a conspiracy and that his WhatsApp chats revealed his involvement in illicit drug dealings.
