Gauhati University Launches 'Chai, Chatters and Chapters' Podcast

Guwahati, Jun 18 (PTI): Gauhati University has embarked on a new digital journey by launching its official podcast named ‘Chai, Chatters and Chapters.’ This initiative, unveiled on Wednesday, aims to bring the institution's academic, cultural, and research milestones to a worldwide audience. The debut episode, featuring Vice Chancellor Nani Gopal Mahanta, is now available for streaming on the university's official Facebook and YouTube channels.

Vice Chancellor Mahanta expressed his enthusiasm for the podcast, describing it as a distinctive opportunity to share Gauhati University's illustrious legacy with a global audience. The podcast is intended to spark meaningful discussions about the university's academic endeavors, cultural traditions, and the dynamic spirit of its students and faculty. “I am thrilled to be part of the inaugural episode and urge the university community to engage with the narratives that define our institution's accomplishments and heritage,” Mahanta remarked.

Beyond redefining institutional outreach, ‘Chai, Chatters and Chapters’ aims to be a vibrant platform that showcases the university's academic and cultural ethos beyond traditional boundaries, Mahanta added. An institute spokesperson mentioned that the series will delve into groundbreaking research efforts, spanning breakthroughs in nuclear physics to interdisciplinary innovations, while also celebrating the experiences within the university's diverse community.

The podcast also aspires to be a knowledge repository, stimulating enlightening conversations on academic discussions, ranging from sociology to science, physics to psychology, and research to internships, ultimately becoming a valuable resource for the global academic community.

Furthermore, the episodes will shine a spotlight not only on academic pursuits but also on student-led initiatives within its various sports and cultural clubs, along with the activities in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) cells, showcasing the vibrant student spirit instrumental to societal growth.
