Amaravati, Aug 27 (PTI) The occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi saw heartfelt greetings extended to the people of Andhra Pradesh by key leaders including Governor S Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday. CM Naidu emphasized his hopes that Lord Ganapati would shower blessings upon the Telugu people, bringing success and removing obstacles from their paths to ensure peace in their lives. In a post on X, Naidu conveyed, "My hearty Vinayaka Chavithi greetings to all Telugu people. I pray that Lord Ganapati blesses you so that no obstacles hinder your family's progress and your goals." He noted that the festival is being celebrated with fervor and hoped for auspiciousness upon those who set up marquees and worship with joy. In anticipation of the event, Naidu unveiled an eco-friendly Ganesh Chaturthi poster at the Secretariat, initiating Pollution Control Board's awareness programs advocating for clay idols and sustainable celebrations. The Chief Minister urged devotees to avoid Plaster of Paris (POP) idols, highlighting that clay and seed-Ganapatis promote safe immersion practices. Similarly signaling his greetings, Governor S Abdul Nazeer recognized Ganesh Chaturthi as a significant festival marked by fervor, devotion, and widespread family participation throughout Andhra Pradesh. "The festival signifies prayers to Lord Vigneswara to remove obstacles and bestow prosperity. I pray he showers blessings for peace, prosperity, and harmony," noted Nazeer in a Raj Bhavan statement on Tuesday. In parallel, YSRCP chief and former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy extended his greetings, hoping for the removal of obstacles and success for the state's people. "Wholeheartedly praying that Lord Vighneshwara removes all obstacles and grants success in everyone's lives, I extend Ganesh Chaturthi greetings to all the people of the state," stated Jagan Mohan Reddy in a post on X. Meanwhile, Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy offered silk robes to Kanipakam Varasiddhi Vinayaka on behalf of the State Government. A press release detailed that the minister prayed for the state's welfare and prosperity.
