Tragic Bike Accident Claims Three Lives Near Delhi's Libaspur Flyover

New Delhi, Oct 22 (PTI) Three men lost their lives when their motorcycle crashed into a road divider on GT Road near the Libaspur flyover in the Swaroop Nagar area in the early hours of Wednesday, as reported by the police.

A report of the accident was received at 1.33 am, prompting a police team to rush to the scene where they discovered three individuals lying unconscious near a damaged motorcycle.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outernorth), Hareshwar Swami, stated that all three men were declared dead on the scene.

Initial investigations suggest the victims were returning from Murthal after dinner when their motorcycle, traveling at high speed, collided with a flyover divider. An officer highlighted that none of the three were wearing helmets at the time of the accident.

The victims were transported to a government hospital in Burari, where doctors confirmed their deaths.

The deceased have been identified as Sumit (27), Mohit (26), and Anurag (23), all residents of Nangloi, according to the police.

Their bodies have been sent to a mortuary for postmortem examination.

Following medical opinions and factual findings, a case has been registered under sections 281 (Rash driving) and 106(1) (Causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), as per the police report.
