Fadnavis shares 125-hour video, says Maharashtra govt is conspiring against BJP leader

Fadnavis shares 125-hour video, says Maharashtra govt is conspiring against BJP leader

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has accused the Shiv Sena-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government of conspiring against him and other BJP leaders and misusing the police department.

Fadnavis has also raised the issue in the Maharashtra Assembly and submitted a pen drive containing 'video proof' of 125 hours to the Deputy Speaker.

He has claimed that the videos clips from special public prosecutor Pravin Chavan's office show how the Shiv Sena-Congress-NCP coalition govt, along with the police officials tried to implicate BJP leaders in false cases.

Fadnavis alleged that NCP leader Eknath Khadse, who was earlier with the BJP, conspired to frame Jalgaon BJP leader Girish Mahajan under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act and to get him arrested.

Fadnavis said the video footage showed public prosecutor Chavan speaking about meetings held at the highest level from the chief minister to the state DGP to the police commissioner to frame Mahajan.

‘Sadly, this is not the first time MVA has misused agencies & institutions for ulterior & illegal motives. Whether it is using police to collect money or to target opposition leaders or illegally suspending 12 BJP MLAs,’ the former Maharashtra chief minister said.

Fadnavis has demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter.
