After BJP's Shobha Karandlaje raised objection to Owaisi's controversial oath, presiding officer Radhamohan Singh instructed it to be removed from the record.

A huge uproar erupted after AIMIM president and MP Asaduddin Owaisi raised pro-Palestine solgans while taking oath as a member of the 18th Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

Owaisi had concluded his oath with the words "Jai Bhim, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana, and Jai Palestine".

After BJP's Shobha Karandlaje raised objection to Owaisi's controversial oath, presiding officer Radhamohan Singh instructed it to be removed from the record.

Speaking about the incident, Owaisi later told reporters, "Everyone is saying whatever they want. I said Jai 'Bhim, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana and Jai Palestine'.

"How is it wrong? Tell me under which provision of the Constitution is it illegal. You should also listen to what everyone has said. Whatever I wanted to say, I said it."
