Officials stated that those who received the calls heard a pre-recorded voice messages by Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, leader of 'Sikh for Justice'. In the messages, Pannu said the group will raise Khalistani flags at airports, railway stations and other areas during the meeting days.&nbsp; "Ramnagar is not a part of India and it will be made a part of Khalistan after Punjab is freed," Pannu said in the message, according to Uttarakhand Special Task Force's Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Senthil Abudai Krishnaraj S.

He also assured that the Uttarakhand police is fully prepared adding that they will not allow the purpose of these separatists to be fulfilled.&nbsp;

In a rare sign of solidarity, leaders of at least 18 opposition parties met at the residence of Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge in the national capital on Monday and alleged that the BJP-led government is destroying democracy.
Representatives of the DMK, NCP, JD(U), BRS, CPI(M), AAP, RJD including the Trinamool Congress among others attended the meet but the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) skipped the meeting in protest of Gandhi's remarks against Veer Savarkar.
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said the leaders resolved to fight against the BJP unitedly.
"Tonight floor leaders of 18 Opposition parties met at the residence of @kharge ji and with one voice decided to continue with their campaign against the Modi regime that is destroying democracy and that has subverted all institutions," Ramesh wrote on Twitter.

"We continue to highlight the importance of democratic principles and the protection of human rights including freedom of expression as a key to strengthening both our democracies," Vedant Patel said.

The Dalit student at IIT-Bombay who died by suicide last month had named one of his classmates in his purported suicide note, The Indian Express reported on 28 March.&nbsp;
According to an investigating officer, the note was found after a 'detailed search' of Solanki&rsquo;s room on March 3.
18-year-old Darshan Solanki had jumped off the seventh floor of his hostel building on February 12.
His family had alleged that Solanki faced caste discrimination at the institute but an internal probe committee concluded 'deteriorating academic performance' as a possible cause.&nbsp;
The police have filed a case of abetment to suicide against the classmate who Solanki purportedly named, reported NDTV.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said he has asked the director general of police to release those who were taken into preventive custody and their involvement to any anti-national activity was not found.
On the sidelines of an event in Jalandhar, Mann, however, said strict action will be taken against whosoever tries to disturb peace in the state.
Following a police crackdown against Amritpal and his associates, Punjab Police Sunday said it has released 197 persons out of total 353 taken into preventive custody on apprehension of breach of peace and disturbance of law and order. &nbsp;The Jathedar also condemned the state government for invoking the National Security Act against a few persons during the police crackdown.
The Jathedar of Akal Takht, the highest temporal seat of Sikhs, had convened a special gathering of Sikh organizations, including intellectuals, Sikh lawyers, journalists, religious and social leaders here to discuss the current situation in Punjab following the March 18 action against elements of 'Waris Punjab De' headed by Amritpal Singh.
Addressing the gathering, the Jathedar gave a 24-hour ultimatum to the Punjab government for releasing all Sikh youths in Punjab, saying otherwise the anger of Sikh community would remain simmering.

He also attacked certain TV channels, accusing them of promoting hate propaganda against Sikhs by describing the youths who have been held as separatists.
The Jathedar asked the state government to revoke the detention of some persons under the NSA and demanded that those who have been sent to Dibrugarh jail in Assam should be brought back to Punjab so that law can take its own course.
He said it would be wrong to say that there was a threat to national security due to the Sikhs who have been detained.
Without naming anyone, Singh said the NSA should also then be invoked against those who speak about 'Hindu Rashtra.' The Jathedar said it would extend all help to the "innocent Sikhs" who have been held in this matter.
The Jatehdar claimed that around 400 Sikh youths had been "arrested" and 198 had been released.
But the Sikh community wanted release of all arrested Sikhs, he said.
He also asked the police to release the impounded vehicles of the Sikhs.
The Punjab Police had last week launched a crackdown against elements of 'Waris Punjab De,' headed by Amritpal.
The elusive preacher himself, however, gave the police a slip and escaped their dragnet when his cavalcade was intercepted in Jalandhar district.

Union Minister Smriti Irani on Tuesday launched a fresh attack on Rahul Gandhi, saying his refusal to apologise is yet another "manifestation" of the Gandhi family's political arrogance.

BJP leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani alleged that Gandhi was trying to "rip" apart the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The BJP on Tuesday launched a fresh attack on Rahul Gandhi, saying the Congress leader's refusal to apologise to the OBC community for his "indecent" comments is yet another "manifestation" of the Gandhi family's political arrogance.
BJP leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani alleged that Gandhi was trying to "rip" apart the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But the Congress leader will not succeed as the people of the country are with the prime minister, she asserted at a press conference.
"In an interview to a magazine in 2019, Gandhi in his own words had claimed that Modi's greatest strength is his image and that he would will rip his image apart," Irani said.
"The political psychosis of Rahul Gandhi is at full display. He abused and accused Modi in Parliament but could not verify his own statement by authenticating it with his own signature," she said.
Such is the political frustration of Gandhi that a promise he made could not be fructified and hence, he continues with his tirade against Modi, the BJP leader said.
"So Rahul Gandhi your promise made to a magazine editor that you will rip Modi's image apart is a promise that shall remain unfulfilled because Narendra Modi's greatest strength is the people of India," Irani said.
Referring to his conviction and sentencing in a criminal defamation case, she said that "Rahul Gandhi could not develop the humility to beg for the forgiveness of the OBC community in our country is just another manifestation of a political arrogance called the Gandhi family".
Following his conviction and two-year sentencing in the case by a Surat court over his "Modi surname" remark on March 23, Gandhi was disqualified as a member of Lok Sabha.&nbsp;

The Delhi High Court has noted that a virginity test conducted on a female detainee or accused under investigation whether in judicial or police custody is unconstitutional.
The Indian Express reported that a single judge bench of Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma held that the virginity test conducted on on a Kerala nun, who was convicted for the murder of a fellow nun in 1992, was unconstitutional. The HC observed that the basic dignity of a person in custody has to be upheld, which had been flouted in this case.
Justice Sharma granted liberty to the convicted nun to seek compensation for the violation of her human rights after the criminal case is over.&nbsp;

Lambasting the Jathedar over his ultimatum, Mann in a tweet in Punjabi said, "Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib ji. Everyone knows you and SGPC have been favouring the Badals.
Look at the history, many Jathedars were used by the Badals for their own interests. It would have been better had you given the ultimatum for the sacrilege and missing 'saroops' of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji instead of provoking happily living people." The incidents related to the theft of a 'bir' (copy) of the Guru Granth Sahib, putting up handwritten sacrilegious posters, and torn pages of the holy book being found scattered at Bargari had taken place in Faridkot in 2015.
In another case, 328 'saroops' (copies) of Guru Granth Sahib had gone missing from the records of the publication house of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.&nbsp;

They said the proposal to bring a motion was mooted at the meeting of party MPs this morning and Congress leaders are now talking to other party leaders over it.
The motion is likely to be brought on Monday in the Lok Sabha but some parties are opposed to the move, saying it may hurt the momentum of opposition unity.
The no-confidence motion will highlight the pace at which Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as MP.
The sources said the no-confidence motion can only be brought when the house is in order.
Sources in the opposition camp said such a motion requires signatures and support of 50 MPs but they apprehended that the motion may not be allowed to be moved on the ground that the house is not in order.
The Lok Sabha has been witnessing uproarious scenes since the start of the second leg of the budget session on March 13 with opposition benches demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Adani issue and the BJP seeking Rahul Gandhi's apology over his remarks made abroad which they allege was an insult to India and its institutions on foreign soil.

The radical preacher, declared a fugitive by the government, has been on the run since a police crackdown on him and his outfit &mdash; Waris Punjab De &mdash; began on March 18. Images and videos that emerged on social media have showed him changing his vehicles and appearance multiple times in a bid to dodge police.
However, Punjab police have detained or arrested a number of his associates during the crackdown.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has said he has asked the director general of police to release from preventive custody those who were not found to be involved in any anti-national activity. He, however, has added that strict action will be taken against anyone who tries to disturb peace in the state.
On Tuesday, the Punjab and Haryana High Court was hearing a habeas corpus petition filed by advocate Imaan Singh Khara, which claimed that Amritpal Singh was in the "illegal custody" of police.
Punjab Advocate General Vinod Ghai told the court that Amritpal Singh has not been arrested yet and they were coordinating with agencies to nab the radical preacher.
Later, the petitioner told reporters that the AG said in the court that they were close to catching Amritpal Singh.
Justice N S Shekhawat asked the petitioner to file an affidavit to produce evidence that Amritpal Singh was in police custody and pointed out that the state's stand was that the preacher had not been arrested.
The court told the petitioner it would appoint a warrant officer if evidence was placed before it to show that Amritpal Singh was in illegal detention.
The court fixed March 29 as the next date of hearing in the case.
On March 21, the court rapped the Punjab government over the intelligence failure that allowed Amritpal Singh to escape the police crackdown.
Khara is the legal advisor of Amritpal Singh and his outfit.&nbsp;

The Rajasthan Police on Monday arrested 2,518 offenders including 228 history-sheeters in Bharatpur range as part of a special drive to nab criminals.
The police arrested 2,051 criminals in Kota, Jaipur ranges and Churu district under the campaign on Sunday.
DGP Umesh Mishra said the special operation is being conducted under the supervision of Additional Director General (ADG-Crime) Dinesh M N.
On Monday, the action was taken in four districts of Bharatpur range- Bharatpur, Dhaulpur, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur.
Mishra said 500 teams comprising around 3,750 police personnel were engaged in the drive on Monday.
"These teams raided 2,860 places and arrested 2,518 criminals. While 805 criminals have been arrested in Bharatpur, the number stood at 460 in Dholpur, 530 in Karauli and 723 in Sawai Madhopur districts," he said.
A gun, 23 country-made revolvers, one pistol, 25 live cartridges and five sharp-edged weapons were also seized during the raids. Apart from these, illegal liquor and narcotics substances were also seized.
He said five cases relating to illegal mining have been registered and four people have been arrested and five tractor-trolleys with 21.5 tonnes of sand have been seized.&nbsp;
