BJP Accuses AAP of Involvement in Alleged Medical Scam After ED Raids

New Delhi, Aug 26 (PTI) – On Tuesday, the BJP alleged that the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) raids targeting Saurabh Bharadwaj, AAP Delhi unit chief and former health minister, have unveiled a "medical scam" purportedly carried out during the previous administration led by Arvind Kejriwal.

According to Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, the AAP government was implicated in this "scam," involving hospital construction and the procurement of medicines and equipment. A probe into alleged irregularities in medicine purchases is currently underway by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). He emphasized this in a video statement.

The ED's raids, involving searches at Bharadwaj's premises and those of certain private contractors, are part of a money laundering investigation linked to alleged fraudulent activities in health infrastructure projects under the former AAP government, as per official sources.
