Bijapur Hospital Achieves NQAS Certification Success

Raipur, Jul 4 (PTI) A hospital in a remote village of Chhattisgarh's tribal-dominated Bijapur district has achieved a significant milestone by receiving the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification, as reported by officials on Friday.

Located in the Tumnar block, Ayushman Arogya Mandir Tumnar has accomplished a remarkable feat by excelling in the NQAS certification, securing an impressive score of 96.4 percent, according to a government statement.

This accomplishment in the Naxal-affected region of Bijapur underscores the quality of healthcare services and commitment to the community, aligning with the mission to provide comprehensive primary healthcare under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

The NQAS assessment was carried out by national-level experts, who thoroughly evaluated the quality of services, infrastructure, record management, hygiene, and patient care at the health center. Ayushman Arogya Mandir Tumnar demonstrated excellence in preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative, and palliative care, establishing itself as a model for healthcare services in the region.

State Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal remarked that the NQAS certification for Ayushman Arogya Mandir Tumnar is a proud moment for Bijapur district. "The achievement is the result of the dedication and cooperation of our healthcare workers. Our goal is to provide high-quality healthcare services to every citizen of the state, and this achievement is a significant step in that direction," he stated.

Ayushman Arogya Mandir Tumnar has broadened its services to include non-communicable diseases, mental health, eye diseases, geriatric care, and emergency services, which were previously only accessible at the district headquarters. This center has been at the forefront of providing comprehensive healthcare services under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
