Did NTA drag feet in NEET probe? Bihar police make big claim: report

Bihar police have blamed the National Testing Agency's non-cooperation for the delay in the probe into the irregularities in NEET-UG.

According to a Hindustan Times report, a senior officer from Bihar police’s Economic Offence Unit claimed that the probe would have been concluded if the NTA had provided question paper samples to match a burnt booklet that was recovered from Patna a day before the exam on May 5.

The officer, who was not named in the report, said that they got the samples only on June 20. The officer added that the burnt booklet was traced to an exam centre in Hazaribagh and 68 questions matched with the NTA samples.

The officer further said that two boxes containing question papers appeared to have been tampered. All cases related NEET irregularities in various states have now been handed over to the CBI.
