CM Sarma Honors Radhakrishnan and Miri on Significant Anniversaries

Guwahati, Sep 5 (PTI) – On Friday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma paid tribute to former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, commemorating his birth anniversary. This day is recognized as an opportunity to honor those who impart educational values and propriety to young children. ''Remembering former President of India, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan ji on his jayanti, commemorated as #TeachersDay,'' stated Sarma in a post on X. ''Across India, we mark this day to honor those who instill the values of good education and propriety in young children and mold them to become better humans,'' he added.

Additionally, the Chief Minister also commemorated the death anniversary of Assam's pioneering educationist, Indira Miri. ''Remembering Indira Miri, a Padmashri awardee and a visionary educationist & social worker who dedicated her life to empowering Assam’s tribal communities and shaping the future through education, on her punyatithi,'' Sarma expressed. ''Her legacy of service continues to inspire us all,'' he concluded.
