Apple responds to Opposition claims on hacking alert: report

Apple has responded to claims by Opposition leaders that received an alert warning them of state-sponsored attackers trying to remotely compromise" their iPhones.

NDTV reported that Apple in its statement has said that it does not attribute the threat notifications to any specific state-sponsored attacker.

According to the report, Apple said "Detecting such attacks relies on threat intelligence signals that are often imperfect and incomplete. It's possible that some Apple threat notifications may be false alarms, or that some attacks are not detected."

Apple added that it is unable to provide information about what causes them to issue threat notifications, as it may help state-sponsored attackers adapt their behavior to evade detection.
