Amit Shah Inaugurates Sabar Dairy Plant in Rohtak

Rohtak, Oct 3 (PTI) — Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the newly constructed Sabar Dairy Plant in Rohtak on Friday, marking a significant step in the promotion of the cooperative sector.

With a construction cost of Rs 325 crore, this state-of-the-art plant is projected to create direct and indirect employment for around 1,000 people, an official statement revealed.

Shah, who is also in charge of the cooperation portfolio, presided over the inauguration ceremony of the plant at the Industrial Model Township in Rohtak.

The Sabar Dairy plant is now the country's largest production facility dedicated to curd, buttermilk, and yogurt, boasting a daily production capacity of 150 metric tonnes of curd, 3 lakh litres of buttermilk, 10 lakh litres of yogurt, and 10 metric tonnes of sweets, according to the statement.

The Gujarat-headquartered Sabarkantha District Cooperative Milk Producers' Union, commonly known as Sabar Dairy, spearheaded the project.
