11 Years of Transformation Under PM Modi's Leadership

Chennai, June 10 (PTI) At a press conference marking 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat highlighted the significant transformation from negativity to development and progress. Addressing the media at the state BJP headquarters, Shekhawat stated that there has been a paradigm shift in governance and mindset.

The past 11 years have epitomized transformation, poverty alleviation, and transparent, citizen-centric governance, according to the Culture Minister. Shekhawat noted that Modi's leadership has taken India from a state of avishwas—hopelessness—towards a vision of a developed nation by 2047. The period known as "Amrit Kaal" aims to focus on growth, effective governance, and the welfare of the underprivileged.

Shekhawat highlighted the emphasis on citizen welfare at the core of all central schemes. He mentioned that the government has fortified national borders, ensured peace and stability, and enhanced technology access for every Indian. These 11 years serve as evidence of vision and dedication, he remarked.

Before 2014, the country was mired in scams, corruption, policy paralysis, and appeasement politics, according to Shekhawat. Today, the nation is marked by innovation and progress, having moved away from negativity. The introduction of Direct Benefit Transfer has removed corruption from government initiatives that were previously plagued by middlemen.

The minister pointed out that the country, which was once import-dependent, has started exporting due to initiatives like Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) and Make in India. The last 11 years exemplify determination, reform, and inclusive growth. Hope and trust in democracy have also been re-established during these years, Shekhawat said.

The press conference was also attended by Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagendran and senior leader Tamilisai Soundararajan.
