Walton Goggins Joins Cast of Action Film 'Painter'

Los Angeles, Oct 20 (PTI) Actor Walton Goggins, celebrated for his performances in films such as "Django Unchained" and "Ant-Man and the Wasp," is the latest addition to the cast of the action film "Painter," produced by 20th Century Studios.

The movie also stars Amber Midthunder and boasts executive production by the renowned filmmaker James Cameron.

This project marks the feature directorial debut of Garrett Warren, an experienced stunt coordinator known for his work on two "Avatar" films alongside Cameron, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Written by "John Wick" creator Derek Kolstad, the film's plot revolves around a young woman, portrayed by Midthunder, who has been trained from a young age and must use all her skills to rescue her father after his abduction. Goggins will be playing the role of the father in this thrilling narrative.

Actor Alan Ritchson was initially attached to the film but had to withdraw due to scheduling conflicts. The production is managed by Drew Simon and Sam Speiser of Infrared Pictures, working alongside Kolstad and Josh Adler.

In his recent work, Goggins directed and starred in "Queen of the Ring," released in March, featuring a cast that included Emily Bett Rickards, Josh Lucas, and Tyler Posey, among others.
