Actor Vaishali Takkar's ex-boyfriend, named in suicide note, arrested in Madhya Pradesh

A major breakthrough in TV actor Vaishali Takkar’s suicide case. Vaishali’s ex-boyfriend, who was named by her in alleged suicide note, was arrested by the Madhya Pradesh police on Wednesday.

The ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ fame actor was found dead at her home in Indore on October 16, and a note recovered by the cops stated that Vaishali was stressed and being harassed by a former boyfriend, neighbour Rahul Navlani.

The police had registered a case of abetment to suicide against Rahul and his wife Disha.

Indore Police Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra confirmed the arrest to NDTV and said the accused had managed to escape as he knew about what was going on. A lookout circular was issued against Rahul and teams were sent to different states. The police had even announced a reward.

Mr Mishra added that accused’s electronic gadgets were seized and further probe is underway.

Rahul Navlani was allegedly harassing Vaishali since he came to know about her marriage plans. The cops revealed that the duo’s fathers are business partners and have known each other for long.

Vaishali Takkar made her acting debut with ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ in 2015. Following this, she starred in many more serials, including ‘Sasural Simar Ka’. Recently, she featured in ‘Rakshabandhan’, opposite Nishant Malkani of 'Bigg Boss' fame.
