Nayanthara Unveils First Look of 'Mookuthi Amman 2'

New Delhi, Oct 2 (PTI) – The much-celebrated South Indian actress, Nayanthara, has unveiled the first look poster for her forthcoming Tamil film "Mookuthi Amman 2". Directed by the acclaimed Sundar C, the production boasts an ensemble team of producers including Ishari K. Ganesh, Khushbu Sundar, Kushmitha Ganesh, Ishan Saksena, and Vignesh Shivan.

On Thursday, Nayanthara took to Instagram to share the update with her fans, writing, "Let her Divine Grace Prevail. A #SundarC Visual Spectacle. Here's the first appearance of #MookuthiAmman2." The poster captures her in the divine guise of Mookuthi Amman.

Serving as the sequel to the 2020 hit “Mookuthi Amman”, the new film will see Nayanthara reprise her iconic role, accompanied by a supporting cast that includes Urvashi, Duniya Vijay, Regina Cassandra, Yogi Babu, and Abhinaya. Filming commenced in March.

The original film, helmed by RJ Balaji, also starred Balaji himself alongside Smruthi Venkat. The story followed the character Engels Ramasamy, played by Balaji, a reporter living a modest life with his family, until the unexpected arrival of the ancestral goddess Mookuthi Amman, depicted by Nayanthara, turns their lives around.

The debut installment was a resounding success, both commercially and critically, and was made available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
