Daniela Melchior and Kristen Bell Join 'Violent Night 2'

Los Angeles, August 29 (PTI) Actor Daniela Melchior, known for her standout performances in films like "The Suicide Squad", "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3", and "Road House", has signed on for "Violent Night 2". According to Deadline, an entertainment news outlet, Kristen Bell, renowned for her role in "Veronica Mars", will join the ensemble cast of the forthcoming Universal Pictures and 87North production alongside Melchior. Directed by Tommy Wirkola, "Violent Night 2" serves as a sequel to its 2022 holiday-themed action movie starring David Harbour. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 4, 2026. The screenplay has been crafted by Pat Casey and Josh Miller, with Harbour set to reprise his Santa with combat prowess. Produced by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch of 87North, the original film featured Harbour as a Santa armed with deadly skills, tasked with saving a girl and her family from mercenaries. Melchior is also gearing up to appear in "American Sweatshop", directed by Uta Briesewitz. Meanwhile, Kristen Bell will return for "Nobody Wants This" Season 2, premiering on Netflix in October. The series, created by Erin Foster, stars Adam Brody and Bell, who are both back from the inaugural season that released in September 2024.
