Maharani Season 4 Returns: Huma Qureshi Shines on Sony LIV

Mumbai, Oct 9 (PTI) - The much-anticipated political drama series "Maharani" is set to make its return with a gripping fourth season on November 7, premiering on Sony LIV, as announced by the platform on Thursday. The upcoming season promises heightened stakes, more intense battles, and a bold evolution of its lead character, Rani Bharti, portrayed by the talented Huma Qureshi, according to the OTT platform's statement. Following her phenomenal journey from homemaker to Bihar's Chief Minister, Rani Bharti's trajectory is set to take a thrilling turn this season. "Rani Bharti’s journey has always been about defying the odds, but this season, her ambition hits a whole new level. From homemaker to Chief Minister, she shook Bihar’s political ground," shared Qureshi. The new chapters place her on the national stage, where the stakes are unprecedentedly high and the dynamics fiercely competitive. “Now, she enters the nation’s toughest battlefield. The stakes are national, the power games more brutal, and every move could make or break her. It’s the most daring, intense, and unfiltered version of Rani we’ve ever seen," Qureshi expressed. Directed by Puneet Prakash, produced by Kangra Talkies Pvt Ltd, and created by Subhash Kapoor, the fourth season embarks on a thrilling narrative. "Maharani" originally premiered in 2021, introducing Qureshi as Rani Bharti, a village woman thrust into political prominence as the Chief Minister of Bihar, selected by her husband, Bheema Bharti, played by Sohum Shah. The subsequent season in 2022 navigated Rani through political complexities and challenges, facing allegations and confronting her greatest adversary—her husband. In the riveting third season that streamed on Sony LIV in 2024, Rani's quest for vengeance against the conspirators behind Bheema’s assassination was a focal point. Adding depth to the fourth installment alongside Qureshi are actors Shweta Basu Prasad, Vipin Sharma, Amit Sial, Vineet Kumar, Shardul Bharadwaj, Kani Kusruti, and Pramod Pathak.
