'Kalki 2898 AD’ new poster out: Amitabh Bachchan looks fierce in battlefield as he teases trailer release

The much-anticipated Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is all set to release this month. Fans are eagerly waiting for the sci-fi action thriller and adding to the buzz, the makers have dropped a new poster featuring Amitabh Bachchan.

As already revealed, Amitabh Bachchan will be playing the role of mythological warrior Ashwatthama in the film. The makers of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ teased the trailer release date of the film with the new poster. It features Amitabh Bachchan as Ashatthama, looking fierce and ready to take on the enemies as he stands tall in the middle of a battleground while several men lie wounded on the ground. He is shown holding a weapon and a divine light shines on his forehead. The poster also features a mysterious vehicle behind Bachchan, raising the curiosity among fans.

Sharing the poster on his official X account, Big B wrote, “Waiting yes for this great honour of being in the company of GREATS !! 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠… 3 days to go for #Kalki2898AD Trailer, out on June 10th.

Fans will get a further glimpse into the world of Kalki on June 10, when the trailer will be released. According to reports, a grand event is being planned to unveil the trailer.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ promotion

Meanwhile, the makers are promoting the film in a unique way. Ahead of the film’s release, an animated prelude titled ‘Bujji and Bhairava’ was released on Prime Video. Besides, the makers recently also gifted exclusive Bujji merchandise to Yash, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and others. Bujji, the futuristic AI vehicle was also spotted around Juhu in Mumbai on Friday as the ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ team is leaving no stone unturned for the promotion.

In a recent interview with Deadline, Prabhas discussed 'Kalki 2898 AD,' describing it as a film ‘made for international audiences.’ He emphasised its high budget and top-tier cast, stating, ‘We've got the best actors in the country.’

The Nag Ashwin directorial boasts of a stellar cast. Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani are some of the key stars in the film. The mythological sci-fi drama is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and will be released on June 27 2024.
