‘Ghayal’ clocks 33 years: Sunny Deol recalls his journey as producer

Sunny Deol-starrer 'Ghayal' completed 32 years of its release on June 22, 2023. On this special occasion, the actor shared a clip from the movie on Instagram and wrote, ‘A film that made me Producer because Nobody else wanted to make it. Celebrating #33YearsOfGhayal , a film that eventually won everyone’s heart.’

The clip starts with one of the powerful dialogues from ‘Ghayal’, ‘Aur pehen lo Balwant Rai ka patta apne gale me….’ and ends with various visuals of Sunny.

As soon as Sunny Deol shared the video, his fans and industry friends commented on the post. His brother Bobby Deol dropped fire emojis.

‘Ghayal’ was produced by Dharmendra and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. It is believed that Sunny approached many for the film but not one wanted to make it. Dharmendra saw some potential in the film and became a producer.

‘Ghayal’ also starred Meenakshi Seshadri, Amrish Puri, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Raj Babbar, Moushmi Chatterjee, and Om Puri.

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol is currently busy promoting his film ‘Gadar 2’ along with Ameesha Patel.
