Prime Video Launches 'Rangeen' with Viineet Kumar Singh

Mumbai, Jul 21 (PTI) - Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming relationship drama series "Rangeen," starring Viineet Kumar Singh and Rajshri Deshpande.

The series, produced by Kabir Khan and Rajan Kapoor, is written and created by Amardeep Galsin and Amir Rizvi. It follows the story of Adarsh, a mild-mannered, middle-aged man who embarks on a humorous yet poignant quest for revenge after discovering his wife Naina's betrayal.

Directed by Kopal Naithani and Pranjal Dua, "Rangeen" explores themes of relationships, trust, and personal awakening, featuring additional performances by Taaruk Raina and Sheeba Chaddha. The series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in India and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on July 25.

Galsin describes "Rangeen" as a sensitive yet humorous narrative that explores intimacy, power, and emotional needs beyond the rom-com genre. "We aimed to create a satirical world balancing wit, irony, and emotional honesty," he said, crediting the unwavering support of producers Kabir Khan and Rajan Kapoor, as well as the talented cast and directors, for bringing "Rangeen" to life with authenticity.

Rizvi mentioned that the series originated from a news article that resonated deeply with them, evolving into a layered, emotional, and surprisingly relatable story. "Rangeen" sheds light on the hidden lives we lead, revealing the identities we guard and the choices we make.

Singh, portraying Adarsh, found the character immediately relatable, noting his flawed yet deeply sincere personality. "What thrilled me about 'Rangeen' was the opportunity to navigate betrayal and self-doubt with a mix of restraint, humor, and quiet intensity," he commented, highlighting the raw honesty and emotional resonance of the storyline.

Deshpande, who plays Naina, remarked on the series as a reflection of today's complexities rather than just a twisted relationship drama. "Naina's unapologetic hunger for desire, meaning, and something beyond societal confines drew me in. 'Rangeen' doesn't provide easy answers or reduce women to labels; it allows them to be messy, searching, and genuinely human," she explained.
