Dan Levy Returns to TV with Crime Comedy 'Big Mistakes' on Netflix

Los Angeles, Aug 14 (PTI) Canadian creator Dan Levy is making a comeback with his new family crime comedy "Big Mistakes" on Netflix, which has now started production. This project marks the 42-year-old's return to television following the conclusion of his highly acclaimed, 19-time Emmy-nominated sitcom "Schitt's Creek" in 2020.

Jack Innanen, Boran Kuzum, and Abby Quinn have been cast as series regulars, joining the previously announced lineup of Levy, Taylor Ortega, and Laurie Metcalf, as reported by entertainment news outlet Deadline. The series will also feature recurring performances from Elizabeth Perkins, Jacob Gutierrez, Joe Barbara, Josh Fadem, and Mark Ivani.

Created and executive produced by Levy and Rachel Sennott, the eight-episode series focuses on comically inept siblings, portrayed by Levy and Ortega, who find themselves blackmailed into the world of organized crime. Levy and Sennott are both creators of the show and serve as executive producers alongside Anne-Marie McGintee from Not a Real Production Company.

In his creative endeavors with Netflix, Levy previously made his directorial debut with the 2023 film "Good Grief," which he also wrote. He appeared in the movie alongside Mehdi Baki, Ruth Negga, Himesh Patel, and Luke Evans.
