Los Angeles, Aug 28 (PTI) — Chris Columbus, the director known for helming the initial "Harry Potter" movies, has voiced concerns over HBO's forthcoming reboot of the iconic book series by J.K. Rowling.

Columbus, who directed both "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," had initially been in favor of the reboot.

However, recent imagery of Nick Frost dressed as Hagrid led Columbus to re-evaluate this perspective, as the costumes appeared eerily reminiscent of those worn by Robbie Coltrane in the original films. "So, I’m seeing these photographs… and wearing the exact same costume that we designed for Hagrid. Part of me was like: What’s the point?” Columbus stated.
