Bigg Boss OTT 3 promo out: Anil Kapoor replaces Salman Khan as host, Sonam Kapoor reacts

The third season of Bigg Boss OTT is all set to arrive in June. While fans will miss watching Salman Khan as the host of the popular reality show, there were several reports about the possible name replacing the actor. Jio Cinema has finally raised the curtains and introduced the new host in their new promo.

Anil Kapoor is the new boss

Sharing the first promo of the show, Jio Cinema officially announced the new host of the upcoming season of Bigg Boss OTT. Anil Kapoor will be seen instead of Salman Khan as the host of the popular show. The 25-second-long promo features Kapoor along with the clips of previous seasons in the background. While the face of the veteran actor was not revealed, the voice and the silhouette make it clear that the new host is none other than Anil Kapoor.

Giving a glimpse of the new host, Jio Cinema wrote in the caption, “A new host for the new season of Bigg Boss OTT! Aur Bigg Boss ki tarha, inki awaaz hi kaafi hai. P.S. - No prizes for guessing. #BiggBossOTT3 coming this June on JioCinema Premium.” While the post revealed that the show will premiere in June, the exact date remains under wraps.

Sonam Kapoor reacts to the promo

Anil Kapoor’s daughter and actor Sonam Kapoor expressed her excitement on social media. Sharing the promo on her story, she wrote, “They’ve got the most talented, hardworking and handsome man onboard !”

Salman Khan gives Bigg Boss OTT a miss

The OG Bigg Boss host and fans’ all-time favourite Salman Khan is reportedly giving this season a miss due to his shooting schedule. The actor will reportedly be busy with the preparations for his next film ‘Sikandar’ and hence denied the hosting job.

Bigg Boss OTT’s first season was hosted by Karan Johar while Salman Khan took over hosting in the second season. Divya Agarwal bagged the winner’s trophy in its first season and Elvish Yadav was the winner in the second season. Fans remain excited to watch a fiery and fun season of the reality show.
