Delhi 'acid' attack: victim's parents speak on whether they suspect anyone, reveal teenager's condition

Delhi witnessed a harrowing crime on 14 December 2022 when acid was allegedly thrown on a 17-year-old schoolgirl.

Recounting how the incident unfolded, her father said, "At 7:29 am, both of my daughters left for school. At 7:34 am, my younger daughter came running home, and said that two men came and threw acid on her elder sister."

When asked whether the victim had ever complained about someone harassing her, the father said, "No. If there was something like this going on, I would have dropped and picked her from school."

The mother said a part of her daughter's face, neck, back and eyes have been affected by the acid-like substance. There is also a lot of swelling.

The family was waiting for the doctors to reveal more at the time of speaking to reporters.
