In an interview with Editorji's Avni Raja, company's MD and CEO, Yogesh Dhingra revealed his motivation for founding the company: addressing the dearth of top-tier services by providing superior yet affordable solutions. And to do so, he adopted an asset-light model. This has helped the company emerge as a significant player within two years.

He further talked about the company's focus on profitability, saying that it's on track to achieve profitability by the third year. He also expects achieving a gross margin of 14-15% by the fourth year.

Speaking about challenges faced in this industry, Dhingra highlighted the challenge of attracting talent and emphasised the need for innovation to retain it.

Currently, Smartr Logistics conducts 55% of its business in the B2C sector and 45% in B2B. ''The company anticipates a shift in the future, aiming for 60% in B2B operations and 40% in B2C'' Dhingra said.
